Demented

Black confusion undulating and convulsing deep within,
Chaotic thoughts reeking of decay permeating the inner conscious.
What has happened?
Drowning in the darkest fear,
The chill of death's fingers caressing, enticing.
Like a veil, the insanity clouds any vision;
Seductively whispering, not unlike a lover.
Never again will there be a moment of silence.
Never again will the light of lucidity brighten
The desolate desert of the soul.
How can one cry and laugh all at once?
Stumbling in the deafening darkness,
Toward anything and nothing,
Any hopes fleeting and soon forgotten.
There is no living, only surviving.
Flying and falling, singing and screaming,
The velvety darkness envelops all sight.
Torturing and comforting, it conquers all of the senses.
Sensuous and sadistic, it is irresistible all the same.
Choking out broken laughter through the hot, bitter tears,
Night seizes the heart and claims victory.

    great mental imagery here

despite the overwhelming darkness and confusion dare I say helplessness...you have yet, managed to face the situation and articulate the contents of a mind in turmoil...the agony and the ecstacy!
heaven and hell thrown together in the same cauldron...

    well written indeed...demented...nope!determined...yep!
