Short Time

It has been a short time
And yet a lifetime has passed
Where has the time gone?
Where did it disappear too?
All I know is that as the time passes
And every moment goes by,
I am glad to have you by my side.
So many obstacles have come and gone
Yet we still stand… standing strong
Against our work, against our closest friends
Against the family, and occasionally each other
But here we still stand
Hand in hand, fingers entwined
Stepping into the void of tomorrow
Into the unknown and unseen
And As we step, day by day
We grow closer together
Building our lives slowly
So that you may finally believe,
That happiness does exist
