It's three point one four one five nine two six
Five three five eight nine se'en nine three two four
I know some really boring party tricks
And once I learned to quote a whole lot more
A transcendental number by the way
Irrational, it can't be written down
The centre of a mathematician's play
But pretty sure to make all others frown
It took at least two thousand years to show
There is no way a circle can be squared
And that's about the most that people know
I'd tell you more but think you should be spared
I am a geek and so in love with pi
Next time I write I'll tell you all of "i"

Author notes
(i is the square root of minus one)
e pi and i are beautifully joined in Euler's identity e to the power of pi times i plus one is zero.
Not that you wanted to know that

I like it
Looks like you have some knowledge about pi and maybe even enjoy math.
I also think the humor comes across very nicely and simply, congratulations -
They tells me pi are squared. I'll have custard on mine.

Well OK but steak and kiddley pie and custard sounds a little odd to me ...

Mathematically brilliant, you would have made math such fun - only you would find Euler beautiful - now that is a shade geeky...

"e pi and i are beautifully joined in Euler's identity e to the power of pi times i plus one is zero."
Really? But I am glad to know now, anything that sums up to zero is just lovely to me. My most favorite number.
Now the poem, it made me smile.
"I know some really boring party tricks
And once I learned to quote a whole lot more"
Don't we all?
As is anything worthy of saying one is in love with, you've listed the known qualities quite well:
"transcendental
Irrational
play"
"There is no way a circle can be squared
And that's about the most that people know"
I am leaving far more interested in pi than I came.

well you nailed another one
good luck
