i can imagine painting you
i paint in oils so it would take a while
you may wander around my studio
look at stuff if you like,
i have an excuse to stare as i sketch
small craggy graphites of your distracted air
capture
that small fragile moment of hope
              we 
                just
                          might

    So powerful in it's simplicity I absolutely adore it!
    Another piece in this contest reminded me of my one love and this one seems to reflect on his nature as well, in this sense more happily though. He is an artist and musician like myself, and 'distracted air' sums him up deliciously. If you honestly do have someone specific who inspired this, don't let them go!
