walking along
a lonely shore
I found a jewel
in the sand
then I found another
and another
as far as I could see
there were
countless radiant jewels
scattered all along the shoreline
each one precious
each one exceptional
each with great depth
and brilliant clarity
each representing
a moment
a place in time
a sigh
each reflecting
all the other jewels
intrinsically entwined
and intimately interwoven
from my pocket
I withdrew a jewel
to place upon the shore
thusly changing
all the jewels
myself
and the shore
forevermore
Author notes
The metaphor of Indra's Jeweled Net is attributed to an ancient Buddhist named Tu-Shun (557-640 B.C.E.) who asks us to envision a vast net that:
at each juncture there lies a jewel;
each jewel reflects all the other jewels in this cosmic matrix.
Every jewel represents an individual life form, atom, cell or unit of consciousness.
Each jewel, in turn, is intrinsically and intimately connected to all the others;
thus, a change in one gem is reflected in all the others.

Technical:
This piece has a reflective quality that is supported by the conversational tone. I hesitate to say this, but it is very prose-like - not a bad thing. I found the line-breaks to be natural and organic - and the lack of punctuation worked well within that framework. I am not fond of the word "thusly" - it really seems a little bit out of place - and I think you might be able to come up with a better word to end with.
Personal:
You managed to no only take me someplace with you, but also weave a nice story into the piece, as well. This works well for me and ties in nicely with my personal experiences. Well done.

Oh wow this is awsome. I found shells and sand dlooars, but never gems. And I do love mediation. It was a pleasure to read.

Superb Plus +
A very fine write indeed. You have expressed your ideas quite clearly. 'Tis the concept of Universal Mind, which I first learned about in classes from the Teaching of the Inner Christ *, and by reading Earnest Holmes Book: "Science of Mind", as well as others.
