Logged, slashed jungle torn
Young Gorilla taken from
where he was borne
Placed in a laboratory studied
day and night, caretaker attendants
clothed all in white
Weeks , months years pass by
Gorilla becomes apple of teachers eye
They give him things to occupy
his mind, then it was decided
To learn him to sign
-The language for those who are mute-
It was found Gorilla was most astute
Gorilla sat shaking his head
seeming to moan, sigh
They ran back and forth
afraid he may die
'Till he held up a mighty hand
to stop the commotion
Indicating with a sign
He had a great notion
"I don't want to believe
I never ever can
That I Gorilla descend from man?"

Wow, this is amazing! I'm so glad you entered. I wasn't sure how this would play out but you've totally gotten into the spirit of this suggestion.
Great job and good luck. -
Very good. Nice way to do it. I liked that quote, too.
