Independence

I don't go where the wind tries to take me
Because I simply did'nt choose that direction

I don't go with the flow
Because the flow
Is not my own
It's just a massive current
That I refuse to follow

I don't negotiate
Nor collaborate
I simply create
Why?
Because it makes me happy

I go off the beat of my own drum
I dance to my own tune
Why?
Because I happen to like my rhythm

I don't write for your entertainment

I write to purify myself

And I don't purify myself

Because it's the "right thing to do"

I purify myself because it makes me feel better

I live for myself

I love Me

Call it cockiness, arrogance, or stubbornness

Call it what you need to

But I call it Independence

wow, I love this becouse it's so true when you sit there and think about it, It flows perfectly, and each stanza could stand independent. Thas something that most writers could not do. Excellent job.

dude you this is nice it's good that you are expanding being versitile. I tend to take different types of poetry and make my own. But to be honest there's nothing better than writing from your heart.
