between my lover and me.
Each day before dawn ...
I dressed and went to sea .
In hopes that he would be rising -
to come....meet with me.
I 'd wait sometimes for hours ...
before I felt his presence near.
Then nibbling gently , my heart began to rush.
My thoughts filled with glee.
From deep below I could feel his energy's build.
skirting deeper ... deeper - then rising above.
Leaping in air - a struggle to be let go.
With a firm jerk !
I reeled him in and let the line slack loose again.
the fight tiring him to a degree.
That now looking face to face with me...
He knew, I would set him free.

Awesome!!! Well written piece, on fishing. Who would guess, that fishing could make it into a poem. But you have done so. Thanks for sharing, this wonderful piece. Good luck in the contest. Take care and have a great day.

If you were a fish upon my hook...
kind sir , I would surrender my pole, reel and gear. Just to have you near.
But so would so many other of the ladies. Thank you for reading and commenting, it was a fun poem of passion.

So cute. Kinda delicate and still delighful. But not a fishermans way. Love, oh how divine . No matter which way it may show itself.

depends on the where and when of things. Living a singles life gives me the options.

Fishin for food - Yes Sir that is the way were raised.
Thank you for reading me - Good Morning Mike,
Often times it was the only meat we had to serve along with the grits and redeye gravy. Folks just saved the fat from the bacon or any cookin left overs and that was for the fish fry, always had plenty of grits to go with them and home made ice tea ...yes sir those were the days. I am glad you enjoyed reading me - it is one of my very favorite pass times. Even if I never catch anything ...the thrill is like the lottery ...I may not ever win - the thrill of possiblities - keeps me coming back again.
I hope you have made it home safely - Spring is coming soon they say - daylight savings time will be changing also.
May Gods Blessings Be with You And Stef Always,
Your friend, Cheryl
