Personal Remorse is the one thing that makes
A poem stand out from all the rest; a gem
It shows a genocide of emotions;genuinely
It shows pain like a bloody razor's edge
Cutting down a page of flesh into your mind
Making others feel what you do; what they
Can only hope to express within their own
Pain.
It gives hope to those thinking "Do I
Just feel this way or is this somewhat normal?"
I still don't know if it's normal to want to die
But I'm going to throw it out there in words
That resemble great conversational voice.
Masterful?Maybe not, but at-least it's raw
Raw truth that come from my core;soul
At-least it's not a lie and if it is; I don't know it
I know it to be the truth every word I put here
Laying it on a silver plate for all to admire or hate
Personal Remorse makes or breaks a poem...
To leave it out would be like leaving your best
friend out on the street begging for some food
Frankly, that's not only heinous but extremely rude.
Some think Personal Remorse is just Self-pity
Self-pity on paper is not looking for attention, but
It's sharing a reflection or recollection of feelings
That are needed to express before you explode
Stop judging the other poets "cliche" thoughts
It's their right to be cliche if you have issues
write about it, in your own personal notes
Remorse from you is needed in your own work
Not theirs.
