I loved you so.
But you tore that love apart.
You blessed me with the purity of love.
On my part anyhow.
But you never really cared.
My heart is torn and tattered.
It stills calls for you.
But my mind says stay away.
Stay away from the hurt.
I want you, Baby.
I love you.
I guess I always will.
I would have given you my heart.
My soul.
My world.
You wanted more.
Much more than I can give.
You turned to other girls.
For the pleasures of the body.
And turned down my love forever.
Now your chance is up.
It's time for me to move on
Find new love.
Find an even purer love
Than I had for you.

This poem is such an exposition of the damage that can result of love and the savage nature of some people involved. You have a lot of courage to craft such caustic emotions into something so thought-provoking. This is my favorite poem of yours.

Your poems are so heartfelt and sincere. I like this one especially; the ending is just great! It's nice to have a bit of hopefulness in otherwise sad pieces!
Thanks for sharing this piece with us!
