Hope to black

The autumn sun dissipates behind a cold brick wall
Ultra violet rays break through porcelain masks of stagnant pride
Cracking and shattering beneath a cold set of eyes
Nothing but a dummy to coax the crowd with
Stray far, far away from the sun
To where the light never bleeds through to hope

Light fixtures fade to darkness
Oh, Lord I don't know if I can do this
Where is my face when it's buried in the sand
Where is my forgiveness
Or was this my sin?
The sun has faded
I can no longer see my way back
Oh, Lord,
My sun has faded
And the land is saturated so black
