Pestle and mortar
ground from deep fount
carbon pigment:
dried,
reliquified
by drops repressed from formless clay,
Line by line
life etched
in fine cartoon;
alive only
by stars in eyes.
Love's screen print --
rock stark
by disguise.

crunch and grind the spirit as it sails the source, the skin's hues like a flower pressed in a book is brought back to life. animated scenes erupt with pleasure as vision collects the blinks from heaven. sighs wrap pains in love's tender ways. a good poem.

I love the picture, Myra. You are so talented. I like the way you show how something lifeless etches life. Thank you for entering.

What a brilliantly accurate description. I can not say enough about the understanding you offer us.

The stories of our lives are many different reads to different souls. What is hidden or displayed is a choice of the mind, the heart or events we cannot avoid. The story did not begin at birth nor will it end at death. But we must continue to play the part that we were destined to play. Thank you for creating and sharing. I wish you the best of luck in the contest. Ack.
