Aphrodite loved Hephaestus
but Mars was her parmoour

I know people like that
One was my own mother

She thought I did not know
what Bruce West was doing
when my father was gone,.

How they absconded
on hot smmer nights
to the barn.

Young boys don’t think such thoughts
but eventually when they see
a certain emvrace touch and rhtym
they put two and two together.

They also keep secrets
because they don’t know any better.
When my father found out
the family seperated
and I lost the innocence of my soul.

As my stable family crumbled
like a old clay building
in the epicenter of a quake.

I promised I would be good
if they would reunite.
Adultery was forgiveable
when I  was ten years old.

For the sake of their children
my parents reunited
and after much forgiveness and pain
they appeared to be happy.
Bruce West was sent on his way.
His family was not so lucky.
Jeff and Dale
Carolyn and Pam.
They split like an atom
and Joyce divorced
the son of a bitch.

When I grew to realize what happened
I whispered alone ‘My mother is a whore
and I prayed for vengeance and it came.
When I was twenty eight wild and  bull strong.
Fine tuned to brawl and breed.

He was older and not so invincible
still with that arrogant look on his face,
but it did not last long
as a beer bottle shattered
across his face

In the bruise and blood of broken glass
He seen and felt the hate in my eyes
as the bottle turned shredding flesh
and he kissed death  that I would not
let him have.

He remembered then as eyes begged for life
and tossing the jagged bottle down.
I kicked him one more time
and left him in his blood.

Thinking I was vindicated
but knowing deep down
I would never be.
