When the sun rises over the ridge
and shines upon the lake waters
The native trout begin to jump
and as the day begins to warm
the feeding frenzy begins
The lake comes alive
with jumping trout
and birds juke just above
limpid waters.
You can see your face
in the refelciton
and you can see the bottom
of the lake.
The cool winds will always come
and kiss your brow
in the middle of the afternoon
The sun gives its gift of light
and the wold frolics within the rays.
Plump huckleberries bend branches
I sit in a patch letting the sweetness
explode upon my tongue
Eyes grow heavy I lay back and dream
the sun like a missus massaging my brow
as I dream deep and warm waking
new and refreshed in the center of this paradise.

Very beautiful imagery! In stanza 5 though, you misspelled "world". A lovely write. Thanks for entering, and best of luck. -
