Your Grave

Underneath the earth's skin
you are as hard as stone
A trustful soul has left you
leaving me all alone

The truth and wisdom in you
is now swallowed in bitter
You told me you would save me
Active person, turned quitter

I hate you for giving up
and being with me no more
I'm left crying in the soil
pounding on your grave floor

  • Wow nicely done. When I first read your very first poem in the contest, I wasn't sure how I would reacct to your other poetry. But you've written 5 solid pieces and all very different messages in each one. I thank you for giving me your creativity to read. You've made a 20 on this poem bringing your total score to a 90. You've made the finalist list. Thanks for entering and best of luck to you. kahy
