can't seduce me no more
her sultry voice won't sing to my
hardened soul,
and her gentle touch won't soothe
the wounds she re-opened
when she stormed out of my door...
out of my life.
Her warm smile can't bring me
any more joy
her kiss turned from passionate
to sour,
and the thoughts that occupied my mind
for hours
are now only seconds of regret.
Was I too overwhelming for her?
Did my, "I love yous"... fall one too many times,
giving her a false sense of security
that she could use and abuse?
It doesn't matter.
She created time and space between us
that was her choice, not mine...
so no longer will her brown eyes seduce me,
nor will her sultry voice sound like a ballad
written only for my heart;
and her gentle touch won't heal the wounds
she opened up again
when she stormed out of my door...
out of my life,
leaving the scent of her perfume behind
for me to wallow in.
I'm over her...
and from behind she said, "You're over who?".
I turned into her beautiful smile,
into her amazing brown eyes,
into a burning passionate kiss,
and instantly lost my damn mind!
"Uh... nobody".
