Hidden deep, protected from winter’s storm
Nurtured within the soil, rich dark and warm
Preparing for this, thy season of birth
From bulb to flower, I gracefully form
Darkness to light, I emerge through the earth
Tiny green shoots start to enhance my worth
Gentle skies greet me, gone has winter’s gloom
Springtime, my season, full of life and mirth
Solitary cerise amidst pale bloom
The soft breeze that carries scented perfume
Swaying, with flushed petals, I dance, perform
Photographer cameras, on me they zoom
