Chapter One - Minute to Motion

1) This Second

Tick, tick, tick, my head echoed.
Right now I dance the Sky.
Masterfolds of mind reality soaks by and by.
No more messes thus too be re-owed.

In distance stance of plain reunion
We talked for days as light
Played fully for trusted lips that night.
And in the mist of morn, brought communion.

What laughter that settled any commotion
pleasing inward as if nothing was wrong.
That's why in the first place we came along.
Here in the now ... minute to motion.

And here I wonder more.
    'In basic sight thus bold?
'Can tis be recommended as warm instead of cold?
'Indeed that's what this shalt be for.'

Foretold in neat and measured approach to the heart
Then for the right ways dust not know bad habits ...
as blue as the rock of memories beyond the self made sabots,
and taught then the thought of more beauty, like art.

Stuck it there in the mind's sweet-tooth.
Held it there tightly with such strong emotion
... from a brain that is too smart to fall for illegal illusion.

2) The Other Side

Why then the hidden despair?
Like Internal fluid melting mold.
Why is the heart pounding solid cold?
Black is blooming there.

Messes mixed in tasty substance,
Upon the rock where the memories were.
Now sit in forgotten slur,
the world around seemed in Torment's sentence.

Faked again as feelings started,
and blind moments re-erected
within a lip coated of  words.

3) What can define this?

Mid-mind in several sentences,
only then near one minute joy.
Likeliness to be so close to annoy,
and raging in many resistances.

'Nor is there another choice that follows'.

In too deep this time,
It is just One who always seems to be better then the others sometime.
There must be no listening to other idols sorrows.

One order thus thrown to dehumanize
a bet between the light and dark of earth
without reason or mirth.

'Almost like when something dies.'

  • What a beautiful piece. Every time I read one of your poems, it just seems to get better and better - such a wonderful rhyme scheme you've used, not forced or concentrated, but just exactly where it needs to be and it works so well.

"One order thus thrown to dehumanize
a bet between the light and dark of earth
    without reason or mirth.

'Almost like when something dies.' "
So hardhitting and poignant. Part of me wants to learn more about your personal meaning behind the poem, but maybe that would let the air out... and besides, it seems very personal. I have my own interpretation, though.

    Another masterpiece, Nathaniel.

I hope you are keeping very well and that things are looking up,

    Hmmm, I can see

there is something in the making here. I look forward to more. It (or they?) is/are a little hard to follow all the way through. The different sections seem disconnected; can't tell if they are supposed to be related. And YET! I love the 'Other Side'! It resonates with something in me...
