Moksha

I am silent in the awe of life,
yet striving hard; to achieve the greatness
beyond physical realms, beyond the infinite.

When nothing surrounds the hollow soul
but a conscience and not any flesh;
When with every lie, the conscience is scarred;
And with every greed, it dreads in solitude;
Karma will be my guardian angel.

When I stumble, I stand again;
Hurt is the flesh and the conscience,
but not the soul, is untouched and unharmed;
When failures are not any filth,
but stepping stones towards success, towards life,
towards eternal knowledge; the secret,
a conscience in unison with purity of soul knows… Moksha!

    wow

    Very creative

  • "When with every lie, the conscience is scarred;
    And with every greed, it dreads in solitude;
    Karma will be my guardian angel." I absolutely love all of this poem but especially this part. This is very relatable in many ways, which I am sure appeals to a vast many different readers. Great Write!

    This poem had alot of heartfelt emotion.
    for some unexplicable reason it made me absolutely giddy.

  • This has a lot of depth, and the philosophical thought makes it all the more mind-stimulating!! A brilliant piece of poetry Way to go...

    You need to work on the punctuation.
    In some aspects of this piece,
    due to the punctuation it make it seem as if it is one continual thought. The breaks that are needed for pause so the reader's mind can absorb what you have already offered them is lacking. This piece has potential but it needs work.

    • Thank you.

      Well this poem is heavily enjambed. Also, the use of caesura is significant... The punctuation feels alright to me.

  • hell yeah!
    lolz

    damn...

    im actually stunned, this is an incredible write, and if in the right frame of mind very relatable, i too, and kinda just reminded me of the movie pinnochio "let your conscience be your guide"
    i have the belief, karma, is a way your conscience speaks, the mind is far more powerful then most realize, and when in your guilt at times you sabbotage yourself, or when youve done good, you feel good and good things happen, but im getting carried away, great write though, thanks for posting

    I like how some of your comments below are just saying nice job. I'm going to be honest here because that's just how I roll. Okay, so your poem was very well written. For some reason your write challenged me though. I had no idea what you were even talking about in this poem. I don't want to sound rude, which I probably do. For that I'm sorry. However, your write sounds like a way of moving through life in a positive way. Will you explain your poem to me so I don't sound dumb for life? What does Moksha mean? I would also like to mention to you that your writes can get my arse That will be all....

  • I liked this. Nice work.

    I think I learned this word in World History last year! I can't remember what it means though... definitely must mean something good from the content of the poem.

    I liked this .

    GREAT job
    diggin it majorly

    i think your best write ever...
    thanks for sharing the secret

    "When failures are not any filth,
    but stepping stones towards success, towards life,
    towards eternal knowledge" ...Awesome lines

    anyway, hope you are doing good. take care

  • Argh, AWESOME one Mayank! I loved it, its very deep and expresses hope and optimism. In my psych teacher they actually said, those who accept their failures and try to learn it are the ones who are always the best learners and the biggest successors. My favorite line was "when I stumble, I stand again: hurt is my flesh and the conscience, but not the soul; is untouched and unharmed;

    AWESOME!!

  • ahhh beautifully writte, the flow of the words work quite well. my favorite lines had to be

    "When failures are not any filth,
    but stepping stones towards success, towards life,"

    i just enjoy the idea of failures not being absolute failures, but being ample chances for people to grow in their experiences and wisdom because of their failures.

    overal a great job, keep up the nice work!

    edit: just one thing; what is Moksha?

    • In the simplest of words, Moksha is the state of ultimate peace, knowledge and enlightenment.
