I want to say what poets say when they want to describe love
What hasn't yet been said but cannot be said enough?
A three word sentence that means so much, when it's written by you
It can only be trumped by the shorter sentence, the one that says, "I do"
I want to fill the sentence up with pretty pronouns, and action words
I strain to find the perfect phrase littered with perfect adverbs
Is it possible to make it better, can it be made more true?
It may be simple, it may be corny, but it's beautiful, and "I love you"

I never knew how magical and beautiful these three simple words were until I recently realised and admitted that I love someone utterly and completely, and she loves me back. I get it now. I get it. Every love song and poem I have ever read suddenly make sense. I'm in awe.
