A puddle of the universe,
one planet in space.
A sky of bodies
and a place far from familiar.
It is from this lake,
a mer puddle of this world,
that I can reach somehow.
Creatures so elegant and tame,
more dangerous than any friend.
Able to tell the secrets
of every rock on their surface.
Their eyes that see the future,
and skin so unattainable,
glisten in the water.
They, the creatures,
my best friends,
allow only me to cross to their land.
Their protection guides me through,
and leads to such a place.
Even gods could not enter,
but long to travel.
To beautiful to stay,
but to beautiful to disregard.
A world where only invitation
will let one in.
The land of water angels,
just below the puddle.
The puddle of the universe,
a world far from familiar.

Rather than the planet in the sky, the water caught my attention. With everything else having so much to it or being more distracting, why not the water?
I'll probably eventually add more detail to the creatures or their world eventually, until then I hope this will work.
