Scissors Please??

loving you against my will
I would lay down for you,
let you walk on me, be your
mat, if only you reciprocated-

my grit has been sucked
away - my weakness has
become your source of control-
you speak - I am your puppet

offering you wine,
your inhibitions free,
exposed intoxication -
would your love still be
feigned

marionette or not -
do I snip these strings
get off the floor?

Author notes

    Hmm

You definitely could have drew that out a little more. It seemed to stop too soon. You do have the wisdom and words though. I really would like to see this completed. If you ever decide to continue it further, let me know!

    • Thanks for your comments, but this piece if finished. I don't draw poems on and on unless need be. Have a great day. You had a nice contest.

Interesting take on unrequited love, to be the doormat and never the person adored to be beside C
