Moon of night follows in shadows and light
Down winter's road a loner's paths I've worn
And skies deny all glimmer to my sight
Wicked winds and old bare trees forlorn
And prints forever gone like an old spell
Moon of night come to gather my sorrows
Whisper walk I cannot hear my friend well
Of twilight and hunter's moon now follows
Winter's road I walk seeking memories
Of whisper walk the one who shadowed mine
Moon of night follows, its shadow sees
Only I now , on winter's path I pine
Winter's road I follow never finding
Dreams of winters past and whisper walking

I understand about the loss you feel. It will help you to write about him too. I did and still occasionally do. They do become like an extention intrical part of our own soul. Know he is beyond pains he knew in this life. Running and playing with our other loved departed from our lives now though. But I can't help but feeling he looks for me at times too out of our devotion we shared. Talk to him,he hears you still. And one day we and all we loved will be reunited in a much better peaceful existance.

Such utter melancholy floods the reader's
mind in this piece. Deep longings for a lost
companion, but the moon shadows know
the author's heart. Emptiness is felt.
Very sad poetic verse here. Leaves me wondering what it's all about though? Can you shed a few moonbeamed whispers on it in author's notes maybe. Might be of a personal nature and not meant to be precieved in more than a feeling of shadows,if so,I apologize for the intrusion.

I was missing my four pawed friend , he used to love walking with me in winter time ...I could hear his soft paw shuffle (whisper walk) ...he was a long haired German Shepperd..
