True Love

leading a life of crime had left many scars
as he looked out at her from between bars
he had promised her fame, money and furs
and never to leave or cheat on her

so she swore to the judge he was as innocent
as a new born babe
honestly judge, he might steal  but kill, no way...
it  must have been his partner Abe

when the trial was over he knew, never again would he be free
he had given up all chances to cop a plea
the jurors had broke the testimony down to the bare bones
and as the verdict was given she let out a groan

now she would spend the rest of her life
looking at her love between bars
cause a life of crime leaves too many scars

she stood by his side his little turtle dove
he was the only person she had ever given her love

hahaha isn't it sad....your one and only love behind bars.....isn't it true when love is involved we never wanna see the mistakes from our partners...

Only hoping he told you where the money was hidden.....and I will tell you where I am..

Great, Sis. I mean it... this poem is so funny and written with very good use of the words you chose from the other poem. How do you get mixed up with these deadbeats, anyhow. I think Yem has the right idea... all of our loves should be money makers (either literally or figuralivly speaking)

    Good luck in the contest

    love and

Thank goodness justice is blind. It's better to look at love behind bars than to actually live with it and find out the truth. Hopefully he got the chair. She would find someone better, maybe a crook who printed money.

If I'm marrying a criminal, she's gonna be in the money making game.
