Innocence Betrayed

 

Why should you be so angry?

Did you think it was okay?

To hit me when I was sleeping

And make me beg for

Your forgivenss.

 

 

Why do you look so shocked?

Did you think it wouldn't happen?

I told you not to scream at me

Or to call me ugly names

But you kept at it.

 

 

Why do you feel so awkward?

Did you think I'd let you live?

I told you not to cross me

But you did not heed my

Innocently spoken words.
