exists on the distant horizon,
she lives on the utter fringe.
Her muse knows no fear, has
no regrets, and seldom looks back;
passions of the ages reside within.
Dreams, wishes, desires and hopes,
new beginnings and friendships
surround her as she dwells therein.
Of that flame in which poetry was made,
her muse bears witness to a soul afire,
standing at the place where her world began.
Author notes
Contest title prompt: "standing at the edge of the world" by Host (JinSays).
"We are of that flame in which poetry is made." ~Me (Poet Muse)
"The most powerful force on earth is the human soul on fire." ~She (JinSays).
Contest image: Ophelia and He Will Not Come Again, by Arthur Hughes.
Note: Although Shakespeare's Ophelia moved within a state of madness and anguish, the lady portrayed in my poem, "On The Fringe" is strong-willed,visionary, and lucid - as Opehlia might have been, if a poet like me had written the story of her life.

Absolutely wonderful.
I am surprised there are NO comments on this piece, it should have 100.
Truly lovely.
And BTW-that wasnt my quote, it was a quote I wrote for.
Wish I had said something that profound
.
Love,

Thank you for the golden chalice!!
This poem is really a tribute to the fantastic muse of a great poet I know, she goes by the name of JinSays. You may know her.
And you may find her dwelling on the fringe.
