n...March Winds

Missing image

As surely as March arrives

the wind will start to blow

letting us know spring is here

and Mother Nature starts her show

Crocus and daffodils begin to bloom

the grass flashes a soft green

the trees will start to have leaves

and the birds will chirp and sing

It's time to rake the yard

and clear the fallen debris

prune the vines hanging long

and enjoy the winds so free

Before we know what happened

March will quickly disappear

the winds we enjoyed will be gone

until this time again next year

Loved the Spring poem, and the wonderful picture

Your word picture, is completed by the wonderful painted image. Is that also your work?

Your words give the feel of the freshness of the March winds, glorified by lifes richness of the coming spring.

March does quickly disapear, but warmer April then appears.

A nice enjoyable read, thank you.

  • You have sketched the depth and the truth of this nature with the wonderful knitting of the words of your impressive poetry...well done..

A nice idea of spring coming back again on the March winds. The winds brought snow back again for us but at least it didn't last long. We have often had snow at Easter here so we are not out of the woods quite yet. Sheila
