I close my eyes and begin to relax
Allowing myself to think of a place I once loved
Warm summer days spent in cool spring water
This place where I never remember a care
Now I can return there, if only by meditation
I can believe I lie above the refreshing water
The cool spring fed lake I feel upon my back
As I believe I float about the surface
My nostrils fill with the unique smells
Of the ever-greens which grow upon the mountain
Different from the smell of Christmases past
Mixing with the ever present smell of dew
And the unique smell of fallen, composting leaves
I close my eyes and drift away to that place
The mountain and lake I loved, once upon a time
Allowing myself to think of a place I once loved
Warm summer days spent in cool spring water
This place where I never remember a care
Now I can return there, if only by meditation
I can believe I lie above the refreshing water
The cool spring fed lake I feel upon my back
As I believe I float about the surface
My nostrils fill with the unique smells
Of the ever-greens which grow upon the mountain
Different from the smell of Christmases past
Mixing with the ever present smell of dew
And the unique smell of fallen, composting leaves
I close my eyes and drift away to that place
The mountain and lake I loved, once upon a time

Memories like this are so marvelous--I think of the healing places in books like Lord of the Rings--Rivendell, Beorn's house, and others like that.
