Dark Shadows

To once again see the sunshine
  In the darkness of my heart

To feel the warmth of love
In a world now torn apart

Echos that still do remind
As footsteps faded in my ears

Dreams lost in salt stained tracks
Where now only darkness hears

Deep in the shadows where I hide
Lost hallways of the soul

I walk alone with broken dreams
Where deep dark rivers flow

    The imagery is touching with too many meaningful heart felt lines to pick just a favorite,
    I'd end up filling this little comment box with your entire poem.
