Crannog

Missing image
With fiddle and guitar and tin whistle singing,
the air is excited with legend set springing
with whimsical, wonderful, wants and desirin'
the Irish romance their music is firin'

They prance and they dance and they chortle in time
their music is merry and also their rhyme
what magical, mirthful, illustration they make
traditional music there is no mistake

These folks make the ear and the senses delight
by hearth in the pub where the air is so light
their passin' the public the taste of the green
the sportin'ist bawdy band ever 'for seen

Author notes

I looked up crannog and stumbled on this band. I just love a good Irish tune, and the musicians who crank them out. Couldn't resist.

Well this is an unexpected take on the prompt. Your rhyme and flow gets progressively better with each poem you pen. Was your inspiration for the words drawn from linking to their music or from reading their bio? Either way, great aaaaand unexpected take
