Release

If I lined up my scars
They'd be a mile long
Each one tells a story
Of how I've been wronged.

They're not on my wrists
I hide them from sight
They're where no one can see
At the top of my thigh.

I don't cut for attention
I cut for release.
And even if they were on my wrist
That wouldn't change in the least.

Cutting isn't for fame
We're not trying to start a fad.
It's our way of dealing
Is that really so bad?

Though my cuts are covered
I am not ashamed
I just know if some people knew
The wouldn't see me the same

Now is that right?
Not at all
But there's just some people
Who see cutting as a downfall.

If only they could understand
I might let them know
But I don't see that happening
So I'll never let them show.

    again this is a fantastic poem and has so much emotion, its deep and i love it, the imagery anf flow was amazing and it caputred so much, this really hit home for me and was amazing. Just fantastic again, you are an amazing and beautiful poet. Thank you =]
