a broken world

the morgue in my head keeps growing
and the shadows lurk upon their beings
devouring our sparkling souls
leaving stitches in the remains
of our skin-tight, perfect pain

this is all in my brain
the loss of love is so complex
we die just so we can run away
in the trees, the dying things
scare the doll children away

the dust we eat is made of bones
our eyes are gray, and voices unknown
rejected by the sinister
and beloved hurt
letting the ugly light of the world
shine through our bullet holes

twin towers fall for freedom
undead creatures walk cold and afraid
in the long and never-ending rain
in the endless darkness
in the broken down remains

in our death parade, we walk alone
across a desert of dead angels
and decaying bones
our filtered dreams are all we see
withered away throughout society
and amusement parks
become a bottomless pit
where we dump the dead bodies

    TRULY HEARTFELT!!!!

So much of our society today helps us to feel this sadness, this sorrow. Way to much pain in our hearts for us to just go on and forget.

Your poem could make a great song if put to music, for so lyric like it sounds when I read your amazing words, and so filled with dark emotions.

WOW, this is a really amazing piece of creative writing here.
You really create the images here, with metaphors and descriptive writing there is this very dark atmosphere right from the start.
I think there is also an undercurrent of sadness and dispare, you seem ladened with a broken heart, almost to the point where everything that once had life has now been crush and all that reamins is destruction and death.

I honestly think is one of the best poems ive ever read, every line means something and create such strking pictures, if I had to choose i would say:

in our death parade, we walk alone
across a desert of dead angels
    and decaying bones

A dark, moody image written beautifully

  • awesome

You keep on getting better and better, and for sure this write has to be up there amongst your best. Imagery is powerful and dark here, and the kind of stuff I like to read. Your writing like this is why I've put you on my favorites list. Take care and thanks for sharing.
