Take my hand oh lord of mind
To guide me as I walk so blind
I trust in you to watch my back
To show example how I should act
To keep the wicked men at bay
To make temptation go away
Show me now verse by verse
How the sinners have it worse
And let me sing it all by Psalms
The rightful way to carry on
For when I face a sinner true
I'll laugh and simply turn to you
Bad Habit, I know, I've read!
Corrupts good habit, just like you said

Yes I think you have done a great job by rewriting your first prayer...I don't know if I like this one more but I like it...and for sure the background is
beautiful...

A very good job with adapting this poem to your original poem, Katie
You've expressed what it can mean, allowing the Lord to be our leader, keep our souls free.
Good luck in the judging
Dee
