Soul Sister

Another breakdown.
At first everything was okay
A while ago she was fine,
Now tears fall down like rain.

I hold her in my arms
And try to ease the pain,
She tells me what happened
And again, tears fall like rain.

I hate to see my sister cry;
I love the shine in her eyes.
And I hate it when she frowns;
When she's not smiling, my world turns upside down.

Author notes

This is for my best friend and "soul sister". She's exactly a week older than me and everything in this poem is true. We are not really sisters but we love and hate each other like sisters.
