Tiny eyes and big emotion
a touch on a dry and sunny beach
just little time, feel the corrosion
In the corner of my eye seaweeds bleach
a touch on a dry and sunny beach
My help is helplessness tenfold.
In the corner of my eye seaweeds bleach
I seem so young, and you are old.
My help is helplessness tenfold.
Will you still dance in ocean’s womb?
I seem so young, and you are old.
Or will my element be your tomb?
Will you still dance in ocean’s womb?
Saltwater rises, wets my face.
Or will my element be your tomb?
Your race’s end will end my race.
Saltwater rises, wets my face.
On this peaceful beach the heat is rising.
Your race’s end will end my race.
Close is the sea, distant the horizon.
On this peaceful beach the heat is rising.
Just little time, feel the corrosion
Close is the sea, distant the horizon.
Tiny eyes and big emotion.

My first contact with the pantoum form was the song "Lower Manhattan Pantoum" by the German group Tarwater, based on Elaine Sexton's poem.
read and listen to the poem here: http://fishousepoems.org/archives/elaine_sexton/_lower_manhattan_pantoum.shtml
I think it's a very intense and impressive form due to the repitions.
The song is on the band's excellent album, "Spider smile" (get it at itunes, e.g.) highly recommended!
