Encircled around chastity's orbiting belt,
dormant lay the sea, without ripple
crescent moons pricked swells
promenaded from silver dollar pads
marigolds nestled in niche of crater
radiated passion's gold beneath hue
grunt and bellow greeted each rise,
filling arid canteen with sweetened dew
framed in edgeless skies scents perched,
then skirted from ribbons waving
Xanadu tales from bard songs lament,
as canaries take flight into tequila haze
wishing wells of hope flow between desire,
parting lips once sealed by despair's crimp
lavender draped clouds above diamonds
part lore from sea, making dreams come true
sails whisk away today, ushering in tomorrow
but who need the rain, if the sun won't follow
the greatest thing about pain and sorrow,
is the refilling of a heart once hollow
