Oh my love
neither I could neglect you
nor you could get me away
though, the splits were taken place
even then, we survived together
in the convictions
since, our passion
twisted us into the habits
for one another
and the habits were never partitioned
even after our divisions
Oh my love

Great take with that picture and congratulations on the Honorable Mention. Thanks so much for sharing!

I like the way you acknowledge that these two belong together and not just because they are two of a kind physically.
Congrats on your HM.

Ah....with choice words you share that love does conquer all! Your opening lines more or less cemented in my mind, that nothing could separate you. "Oh my love..neither could I forget you nor would you get me away" Powerful.."since our habits twisted us into the habits for one another..the habits were never partitioned even after our divisions" Love the word partitioned...One of my favorites of yours...Such devoted love expressed here!

I like the uniqueness of this - it has a suble feel of a Victorian romance - like Romeo standing under Juliet's balcony, something he would call up to her.....anyways....most unusual. I enjoyed this.
thank you for your entry
best wishes in the contest

Yes, it is the habits that bind together despite the divisions.
"we survived together
in the convictions"

I really like this, but can't put my finger on why.

-
I just simply like this poem and the image is startling. I like the acceptance of commitment you portray with the word convictions. Well done and I hope it does well in the contest. Peace, Rhonda
