You have to decide
Who lives and who dies
By this day and third...
We want your word
We want your decision
So we carry out this vision
Men or women?
Adult or child?
Black or White?
Domestic or Wild?
Religious salvation
All of creation
How can I decide
Who lives and who dies?
You have it in your hands
And thats as it stands
Husband or wife?
Death or life
Only half can we save them
If only we'd made them
We didn't create them?
So who's it to be?
Your world is so distant
Like this world it isn't
Far as the eye sees
Throughout the galaxies
You come to destroy us
Not to toy with us
I cannot decide this
Its killing inside this...
You have only an hour
And you have the power
To save half of what we see
Half of humanity
The half that we save
We still will enslave
They'll all live forever
They will die, never
For now is our glory
So what is the story?
We have a code if you please
Rather die than live on your knees
None shall I save
To become your slave
So kill all if it please you
We shall not appease you
In fact we shall sieze you
And fight with our lives
So I decline to answer
You're just like a cancer
Death is what you bring
Life is what I sing
So come any closer
You will be toasted
Get the hell of our planet
With this bombsell I MEAN IT.
Author notes
1. If aliens came to you and said they would save 50 per cent of humanity who would live forever, but you had to pick the ones to die, would you do it?

You are on fire with this!! There is never a reason to make a decision for others that is not yours to make. The ending was great.

Wonderful
Very well done. Best of luck in the contest.

I had a totally different concept of the poem until the last two lines. Ha, but it was really good and very well written.
