My dear Mother who gave life
To a wounded heart and soul
She reaches from across the skies
Across oceans of dreams
Settles comfortably upon the shores
Of my broken heart
Swords cutting me to shards
No longer beating or loving
I look to the heavens, she awaits me
Arms outstretched soul open to receive
The child she once gave, the child is me
Welcoming me to the afterlife
As this mortal coil, like unto an ocean
Ebbs away into the distance
Abide with me for a while
Sit with me upon the shores of destiny
Look at the light of heaven and remember
Oh past wonders of play and merriment
These are the things in life I shall remember
My dear mother, as I return with you
As I enter your heaven
As I leave behind this place
And move to another where love is all
Wait upon the shore till the last remnants of life
Gently ... so gently ebb.. away...
