to the mothers, the aunts
the sisters, the cousins,
and most importantly
the lovers

I couldn't have done it with

every smile shown

from sitting in dark rooms talking
to hiking through forests
watching our selves grow
honestly, I think I'd
be dead with out you

you have some gorgeous imagery in this and i love the way it's written, it doesn't feel perfected, it feels like you just sat down and wrote what you were feeling/thinking. that's always the best way to write.
