I. Break
The depths of your soul, now
Shattered like the coffee-brown vase of ages ago
A letter, a note, a telephone call?
Your son, your loved one, has passed
To the next big thing
Yes, he was young
No, not in peace
He was broken, sacrificed: an "example"
Shattered like a coffee-brown vase of yesterday
Traced by a wallet,
Not by an achievement, an identity
Details?
No.
It's time to
II. Mend
Strength, courage
Synonymous with your name
Take the time, clean out the wounds
III. Forgive
Droplets of clear somehow manage
To color the whole world blue
The room mourns with you
Full of its regret,
Envy for the dead
Who suffer not their guilt
And awesomely, you sublimate
The regret, the guilt, the sorrow
Into something of a different nature
To let it go
That, in my
Humble opinion,
Is amazing
Author notes
For ELA-it's about this amazing woman whose son was murdered because he looked different.
How did the personification work for you?

beautiful
I found this beautiful and well...shocking at points. Which is a good thing. I know what its like to lose... My little brother was killed in a car accident at the age of 11...and it will always hurt. I love how you said "Envy for the dead
Who suffer not their guilt" That makes a great deal of sense....to me....but it wont always make sense to Others. Great work.
