Trip-Trap

I wish I could fall through

society's slivered conformity

and drift past China

into outer-space,

I'm surprised the earth's centre

didn't scald me.

I guess I just have

thick skin.

But even Jupiter

wasn't far enough for me.

I just want to run

so far away.

beautiful and amazing! I absolutely loved this piece! On the third stanza, did you mean for "ever" to be "even"? Just wondering! a well deserved gold!

Well deserved gold. This speaks to the awkward yearning of the soul to be free, to slip the bonds, so to speak. Out past Jupiter are the stars on which we wish at night. Made of star-stuff, we long to return to the stars.

    Excellent. Very thought provoking.
