you turned into butterflies
as you took your last breaths
each struggling sigh a new hue of lovely,
transparent wings bursting through
your cold body, i couldnt touch your hand
crying, i turned away
you're gone but i know
you're still here, still alive
in my heart,
in my memory,
in the air
fluttering so silently
your angel-wings beat in tune
with my heart, eternally
