- I Thought Wrong Dad -

I remember the day
you sent me back here
I remember clearly
What you had whispered in my ear

'I love you and I will call often'

I stepped on the train
Turned my head
And looked away
You had gone dad!!

I thought you might have stayed until the train pulled away
I thought you might have waved
I thought you might have even shed a tear

I THOUGHT WRONG ... you didn't care

I thought things might have changed
I thought we might have kept in touch
I thought i was your daughter dad!!

YET AGAIN.... I THOUGHT WRONG...

I thought maybe things could have changed
I thought that  at some point i might have forgave you
I thought that I could push these memories to the back of my head

I STILL THOUGHT WRONG...

You've gave me the choice to see you again
You've put it all onto me after all these years

I'm not sure whether I'm strong  enough to face you dad
Its been so long and I'm so god damn scared
I don't think i can dad...

You hurt me so much, for so long... you don't understand dad

Dad??

I'm not up to making the choice yet
Maybe you will understand
Maybe you wont

I'm not quite sure

    Great Poem you rime very well
