Glass Roses

The icicles drip,
Life slowly ebbing into liquid.
A snow scene.
A frozen world.
Us, frozen in time.
But it seeps away, slowly, slowly.
A rose,
Perfect, pure,
Withers and dies
As the ice melts away.
And you are gone
With the smashing of the glass.
And time begins again.

This is a lovely, heartfelt piece. The imagery is really powerful and made me want to keep reading. Ice and glass and roses--beautiful.
Thanks for sharing this with us!
