What his people can do

People ponder at what goes on today
Government all messed up right now
The world has got to straighten out
And we can learn to do that somehow
Borrowing from countries is not so good
It will take a long time to recoup
To pay back all we have borrowed
Is leaving us all in hot soup
I think people should have the right
To speak out about what we could do
And not leave it just to government
It seems they never come through
Wars and pain and useless waste
Of suffering and belittling each other
If countries could somehow get along
God made us all to be sister and brother
Polluted waters and  the  acid rain
The planet used to be so clean
In olden days when people cared
I'm sure you know what I mean
Helping each other to build and plant
The world was a bit more serene
Helping each other is where it's at
Trying to keep this planet clean
They forget what God has given us all
They fail to see what is really around
We don't take time out to see creation
Or see the things that are sound
So Don't you think this is the time
In our hearts, as thoughts run through
Can't you see all the good things?
That people were meant to do
We are in a very bad situation
We know and cannot pretend
That all will soon just go away
It will be with us till the end
We all have to answer for things we do
So we better get right in our thought
Because soon the time will be coming
And God didn't put us here for naught
Other countries are our neighbors
Not just the folks living next door
Here for helping one another out
Thats what he put us here for
No matter how long we are here on Earth
Someday our lives will be through
But when we go meet the master
He always knowa what his people can do
