Circlets of gold.
Eyes of azure.
Laugh of silver.
My perfect world
Covets,
Protects,
Nestles
Me nearer...
Nearer to it's depths.
It's dreams of insanity,
Hopes of madness.
Perfect happiness
Is only a disguise
For what is hidden within.
Never more.
No longer does it have my trust.
My faith,
My love.
Its seamless masquerade
Shattered
Beneath my gaze.
Ideals misplaced.
Perfection lost.
Joy betrayed.
I set apart my role
In this horrid play.
I cast aside the pearls
That bind me.
I break away from the serenity
All around me.
I live.
