Pulling myself up

So many things floating about my head,
Can't really get the words to make sense,
Nothing really seems to be real,
So close but so far away.

Can't let my self drift,
Gotta stay here,
Live life day by day if that is what it takes,
Can't let myself fall.

So close to drowning,
So close to falling,
But I'm still trying to rise,
Above it all.

These words aren't making sense anymore,
My thoughts slow to a stop,
Don't let me fall.
Trying to rise above it all.

I'm pulling up above it all.
I'll slip and fall sometimes,
But then I'll pick myself back up.
In the end you won't see me at the bottom of the hill,
You will see me above the top.

I've fallen more than once on this path,
But as long as I still can breath,
I'll pull myself back up on my feet.
