Wicked winter's grip on the world,
Holds fast during the long cold season.
Blizzards swirl snow past my windows,
While we turn the heat up and hide under warm blankets.
Children stay home from school,
And adults slide and skid on the roads on their way to work.
But when the snow melts,
And defiant flowers push throug the hard, cold ground,
Spring comes to the world, chasing away Winter.
Magical breezes blow and rainbows of flowers,
Are a beautiful, common feeling and sight.
And new life appears.
When the wind turns warmer,
And the temperature climbs,
Spring turns into hot Summer.
People jump in pools and lounge on beaches,
While air conditioners blow cold air,
To relieve people from the hot Summer heat.
The temperature mercifully lessens,
And the tree's leaves turn to fire colors,
Fall comes along to replace Summer.
The breezes once again become cooler,
And T-shirts and shorts turn to long sleeves and pants,
As the weather once again becomes gradually colder.
And the cycle of the seasons continues.

A very nice write about the seasons, and an excellent take on the prompt. But in line 8, you mispelled "through". Please fix it, spelling is one of my pet peeves. Best of luck and thank you for entering!
