There's a girl in the rain
You can feel her pain
Really, it's so insane.
There's a girl in the rain
You can see her smile
Hurry up, take a pic
Put it in your file.
There's a girl in the rain
She doesn't see you
But you see her
Oh yes, you do.
There's a girl in the rain
You want her to look up
But when she doesn't, you're most likely gonna say
Oh, fuck
Because you just realized
What you've been doing
Watching, waiting, silent as can be
You're waiting for her to look up and see.
There's a girl in the rain
She starts to turn around
But when she does
You're already abound
Up the hill
Over the river
'Hello girl,
I see you shiver.
I've been watching you all this time
How about I give you a dime?'
There's a girl in the rain
Now she's running from him
It's like she's thinking
He's a mortal sin
Following following day and night
Hardly stand the sight of him
Oh the fright.
There's a girl in the rain
She knows she's insane
Coming out here after dark
Because, really, when it ends
She's just run into
Your dead end.

i really like this peom a lot, i would lose the "oh fuck" line it seems out of place, and takes something away from this piece, it really tells a chilling story, best of luck in the contest

Thank you, Dusty Tiger. *offers duster*

I dunno. I do agree that the line is out of place, now that I think about it...
Hmmm...
